Happy Resurrection Sunday!

Yesterday our family spent some time doing yard work together, dying Easter eggs, and having an egg hunt – with the plastic eggs full of candy, or course! We even went to Walmart to buy the oldest a new bicycle and helmet, and passed hers down to her younger sister. They were both ready for larger bikes, and it was a beautiful, sunny day for bike riding.

Today is for reflecting on Jesus. What a gift He gave to the world! It is worth far more than candy or bicycles. It is worth more than a sunny day… It changed the course of history forever. It changed my life. I wonder if you know Him…

That’s My King!

  1. What wonderful pictures Amy! Your girls are beautiful :O) I had hoped to have egg dying (and finding!) pics but it’s hard to hold a camera AND video recorder! My husband kept saying “we need a picture of that” and I kept saying “ther’s the camera, right over there”, LOL The kids had a lot of fun finding the eggs, and Alex had the best time coloring this year, he got really creative when we told him he could do what he wanted, lol :O) (this is the first year I didn’t get a pic of the eggs, grrrr)

We don’t hide eggs outside (maybe next year we can hide the candy ones out) because they will freeze, and the weather alternates between snow (this year) and freezing rain, or giant puddles of mud & melt. :O) The kids probably wouldn;t mind, but we do. :O) The hunt was expanded this year to 2 rooms instead of one, Alex tried checking the bathroom, lol, I told him I didn’t think the bunny hides things in bathrooms. :O) Maybe next year we can hide them on the backyard playset that is taking over! It will be worth the loss of the yard space so I don’t have to go to the park in less than ideal weather, lol,I can stay in the warm house and watch. :O)

I also wanted to tell you that Alex got huge kick out of the apple stamps on your apple soap. “WOW! Mom, this soap has a apple painted on it, AWESOME!” “How’d she do that?”

Sorry about the book…I don’t know what got into me :O) Mary
