My Weekend Starts Now!
Just a quick FYI – I have some much-needed girl time planned this weekend. I will be leaving in the morning to go to the Women of Faith Conference in Kansas City – just a short jaunt from my house, but I’m still staying at a hotel with some girlfriends from church. My kind hubby will be holding down the fort at home, and I know he will have fun with the girls!
I promise to post pictures of the new Winter Wonderland and Bayberry soaps on Monday. I used a new swirling technique (to me) on the Winter Wonderland soap which turned out pretty neat, and embedded the red soap balls I made with the microwave soap in the Bayberry batch. They are making my house smell like Christmas already! I decided that the Bayberry fragrance reminds me of smaller retail stores – like my aunt and uncle’s Hallmark store – at Christmastime.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Glad to hear you’re taking a weekend with the girls. Taking time out for yourself is the key to staying balanced, especially during the busy holiday season! Looking forward to seeing your Winter Wonderland and Bayberry soaps when you get back!
Have fun at Women of Faith…they were in St.Louis a few years back -Clairmont, Swindoll so fun! Have you seen their devotionals at Sam’s Club? Good stuff!
Just got back this evening – wow! What a weekend! I’ve actually been doing one of their Bible studies with a group at church – it’s been great!
I look forward to seeing the Winter Wonderland and Bayberry soaps. Isn’t awesome how this craft can so easily put you in the Christmas spirit with the panoply of exquisite fragrances? It seems that you have an old-fashioned Christmas taking place at your home!
