On the Curing Rack: Antique Lilac
The Antique Lilac soap finally set up enough for me to cut it! It is currently curing, but I can’t make any promises that it will get as hard as it needs to be. This soap was part of my Story of Two Soaps that I made back on January 20 – where one soap became lye heavy and one became superfatted. This was the one that became superfatted. The excess oils in the soap are making it extremely soft. It’s still good soap, but it would very likely melt away very quickly in the shower. If it’s not sellable by the time the Olathe Farmer’s Market starts on Saturday, April 23rd, I may have to put it in some soap grab bags. It would be a shame since the swirls and scent turned out so perfectly! I’ll keep you posted.

@Michele – So far so good! These lilac soaps were one of my tests, and they obviously passed with flying colors. 🙂
