On the Curing Rack: Cranberry Yuzu
Are you ready for this? It is absolutely dazzling – and that’s not an understatement! I just wish you could see the raw photo because the micas are literally sparkling in the sunlight. I tried saving the cropped version in several different formats, but no matter which format I use, once the photo is cropped, you can’t see the sparkles anymore. Oh well, it’s still beautiful:
I have no doubt which of the fall soaps will sell out first after seeing this! And of course the fragrance is completely mouthwatering, and just as sparkling as the mica. Cranberries are tart, and yuzu is a Japanese citrus fruit, similar to a grapefruit or mandarin orange. The combination is just delicious!
Mark your calendars for September 13th. That’s when you can get your hands on this Cranberry Yuzu soap at Greatcakessoapworks.com.

Beautiful!
Gah! I just left a comment and it wouldn’t take it!
Anyway, I was saying that it was soooooooooo beautiful, a stunning stunning soap and I adore the colours. Can I ask what mica you used for the pink? I love that colour.
Beautiful soap, beautiful colours, beautiful tops… I am in love!
@Celine – Oh, I hate it when I have to re-type a comment! Sorry it was being fussy with you. I found this cosmetic company called The Conservatorie. They have tons of micas, but since it isn’t a soap supplier I didn’t know if they would work with soap. So far, so good! I used their bubblegum pink for the base color.
Wow, very beautiful, and the scent sounds very nice too!
These colors turned out amazing with the swirl! I loved the faux funnel version but this is even better =)
Well, I love them both for different reasons. There is something to be said for clean lines, and yet the mish-mash of the swirls is pretty too. 🙂
Love it! All your soaps are lovely.
Thank you, Melodie!!
Another masterpiece, you’re soaps are so gorgeous Amy, the colour combinations are always just right:)
Thanks, Jan! Some end up better than others. 🙂
