Fall Planter
If you think the reason I haven’t posted very frequently is that I am so busy working on soap that I haven’t had time to blog, that would be incorrect. As a matter of fact, I’ve had the last two Saturdays off from the market and have been almost completely ignoring the soap business entirely. Instead, I have busied myself with other shenanigans such as helping Hubby put together a planter around the tree in our front yard. I use the word “help” very loosely. I held the pipe attached to the tree with a string that he used to check the radius of the brick wall, while he used his brute strength to dig out the dirt, level the yard, and build the wall. Oh, and I picked out the bricks and flowers, planted said flowers, and spread the mulch. It turned out very nice!
Here’s a closer view:
This is what I love about fall! Cooler temps make it so much more enjoyable to do outdoor projects! What do you love about fall?

Amy,
The new planter turned out beautifully. I know sometimes there are other things in life that come up other then soaping.

Meant to say that Fall is my favourite time of year and I love to see the leaves changing colours and also love walking through the fallen leaves.

@Michelle – Thank you for your kind words! I’m back at it today, but having problems. Not with soap – with lotions. 🙁
Nice work. I dont have a green thumb at all!
Amy, do you read this blog? If you haven’t before, Susan has some amazing info on formulating lotions.

Love your garden project, I’m sure you made that tree very happy!

@Jessica – Well, we shall see if there is actually enough sunshine to maintain my flowers. It’s facing south, but they are under a tree after all!
@Clare – Thanks for the tip! Looks like a wealth of information!
