The Faux Funnel Method: A Video
Without meaning to, I have saved this video until the soap is actually available for purchase! After asking what videos you all wanted to see, I received a request for a video of the faux funnel pour method as well as a soap made with peacock colors. So I combined them! The Peacock soap is scented with an Amber Romance fragrance; however, after putting the soap in the oven, the sweeter notes of amber are no longer present. It smells more like a musky, unisex blend – and was very well received at the market where I was selling yesterday.

That color combination is the bombdiggety. Love it!
Nice vibrant colors…I recently tried the faux funnel method & the look is always distinctively unique.
Thanks…Joan
Love your videos, Amy! It’s fun to see your technique, and the video editing is great. I did a similar faux funnel swirl recently. I just sort of made random pools, but I like how you moved from one side of the mold to the other. The soap turned out beautifully!
Amy, we raise the mighty Peacock here on our farm and you NAILED the color combinations! You would think that I would try making some Peacock colored soap…I better get cracking. Thanks again for the wonderful inspiration.
Thanks for the comments, gals!! Glad to know others are getting hooked on the method as well!
Hi Amy – another great video! Love the colors.
yayy!! the peacock colors came out great. I just ordered a bar can’t wait to receive it.
Thanks, Linda!! Your soap is on its way! Hope you love it!
OMGosh! STunning!
Thank you, Tina!
Wow, I didn’t know you soaped at such low temps! I love the faux funnel design, might have to pidder around with it. As for it thickening up more than usual, you kind of have to think of oxides as you do clay, they absorb water, so when I play with oxides I always use full water in my recipes.
@Meghan – That makes sense about the oxides. I’ll have to remember that! Thanks!
