All-Natural Oatmeal, Milk and Honey Soap
I’ve been making Oatmeal, Milk & Honey soap since 2004. It’s a staple in the handmade soap line as far as I’m concerned. Loaded with pulverized oats, fresh goat’s milk, and real honey; I would consider it the most moisturizing soap that I make. Not only does the honey act as a humectant, holding moisture to the skin, but the fresh goat’s milk makes the creamiest, moisturizing lather. The oatmeal serves two purposes: to soothe and exfoliate.
What I love about this latest batch though, is the all-natural essential oil blend. Previously, this soap has been scented with a synthetic fragrance which smelled pretty wonderful, but I am determined to start using more natural fragrances in my soaps whenever possible. The blend smells like honey and almonds, and has already been approved by one of my customers who loved the previous Oatmeal, Milk & Honey soap.

Oh that looks and sounds wonderful, Amy! I love that you used an essential oil blend. Most omh synthetic fragrances aren’t really appealing to me. Most are too strong. I love this!
This looks so creamy and reminds me of toffee! Love toffee!
Love it Amy! I’m sure it’s even better than before. 🙂

Thank you for your comments! I would say the new scent isn’t as strong as before – especially the dry soap. It does seem to “bloom” a bit once it gets wet.
Oh that looks totally delicious!
Beautiful. I played with other scents last year when I started soaping but have decided to stick with just the EO’s. I make a bar like this but with cows milk (since we have a dairy)and our own eggs. It always sells out.
Love the tray your soaps are on. Great choice!
Sounds very nice Amy! I used to make a honey almond soap, not sure why I discontinued it, as it was very popular. Your soap looks beautiful.
I love oatmeal and honey soap. I too think that it is a staple. This looks great and I love it that you are using the natural essential oils.
Oh my god! You found a EO scent that goes with oatmeal milk and honey? Can you reveal what EOs are in it?….. xoxox Jen
@Jennifer – Actually I can’t. It’s a honey almond essential oil blend sold by WSP and they don’t reveal its ingredients!
I actually ordered the same blend from WSP for my Oatmeal and Honey soap but out of the bottle I keep smelling something almost like cherry. Did the scent change when you soaped with it or is it about the same? I have been nervous to try it!
