Cream Soap: Something Different
This cream soap is a project that I started in January! Since I had the day off from the farmer’s market, I decided to finish it up this afternoon.
Cream soap is a hybrid of liquid and bar soap, and the end result is pure luxury! The consistency really is like frosting – just like it looks in the picture. Most cream soaps are intended for facial soaps.
This is the fourth batch that I’ve made, and I have to say so far, it’s the best. I formulated the recipe to be perfect for my skin – a combination of anti-aging and acne-fighting properties. In order to finish the soap this afternoon, I had to stir, stir, stir, and add more aloe vera juice to loosen it up, stir, stir, stir, add essential oils of tea tree, lavender and peppermint, stir, stir, stir, and finally add the blue vitamin beads, and stir, stir, stir.
I’ve never sold my cream soaps – mainly because I’m still experimenting with them, but also because they are so labor intensive! However, you can see from the little dab of soap on my finger how much lather they produce. Definitely worth it for my own personal use, and maybe some day I’ll make cream soap to sell to my customers. If they want some.

I would love to try it…. 🙂
I’d buy it! 🙂
Thanks, gals! Unfortunately, I’ve encountered a setback. I was testing the soap on my face and it was too drying. Another soaper suggested making another batch that is more moisturizing and combining the two. I will consider that, but for the moment I need to concentrate on making sure I have enough of the regular soaps to make it through my fall shows!
