End of a Season
Saturday was my last day at the Olathe Farmer’s Market for this season. It was my best day yet! The KEY – once again – is repeat customers. I sent out my newsletter on Friday, letting them know that it was my last one, and the ones who needed to stock up or wanted to get an early start on Christmas shopping showed up. I still have 3 Watermelon soaps left and 3 Cucumber Melon soaps which are now marked down to $4.50 each if anyone wants to get a great deal!
I still have three more events this year – the next one is on Friday at the Olathe Medical Center. It’s their 20th annual Holiday Craft Sale – handmade items made mostly by employees of the hospital. I get to participate because one of my customers is an employee, and she got me in three years ago!
I’m anticipating online sales to pick up soon as well, so I’m definitely not slowing down. This week I’m trying to take a breather and get my house cleaned. It’s been neglected far too long!
Oh, and I gave in to the temptation of the Southern Soapers inventory liquidation sale. Looking forward to trying some new fragrances soon! I even ordered some of those cupcake molds…because I need yet another project!

I’m going to miss Southern Soapers! They were my closest supplier, and I love their FO’s. I’ve been placing an order with them almost every other week. The bad part is I know I’ll find something I really love, and won’t be able to duplicate it because it’s no longer available…
Good luck on the rest of your shows:D
Glad to hear you had such a great season! The newsletter sounds like a great idea. Good luck with your upcoming events 🙂
I’m so happy that your business is going so well! Congratulations!!
