Girls’ Rooms Project Update
I’m almost embarrassed to tell you how long I’ve been working on the girls’ bedrooms (2 years!) The final step was that they needed bedside tables. So last December my hair stylist donated a couple of matching tables for our cause. They are pretty great structurally, but needed to be stripped and painted. I finally finished stripping them about a month ago. Today we pulled them out of the garage and my husband helped me finish the job.
Notice all the “power” tools? It really does pay to be married to a general contractor!
The tables came with some really cute pewter drawer pulls – three butterflies, three frogs, and three dragonflies. Here are they are in their final destinations:
My younger daughter’s room has also been transformed since the last time I showed it to you. She no longer wanted pink – her latest desire is for everything to be blue. So we went from this:

Project (FINALLY) complete! And now, I need a shower before we go out to watch the fireworks… Hope you all have a safe and happy 4th!

Love the tables. Their rooms look great! I’m sure it feels so good to get it done…and now you have a little more room in your garage!
Wish my room looked that good when I was a kid. You did a great job! I really like the hardware on the dressers.
Me too, Misty! My older daughter’s dresser is the one my parents bought for me at a garage sale when I was little. It was the only one I ever knew.
They look like one of those expensive dressers in pottery barn! Great job! I wish my husband is this handy!
Awesome! I love DIY projects!!!
