Oatmeal Stout Soap Giveaway
It’s been too long since I’ve hosted a giveaway! So, just for fun I thought I’d give you all a chance to win a bar of the Oatmeal Stout soap. You may have seen the photo on Cocobong’s blog when she did her review of the Patchouli Beer Bar, and you may have also noticed that it is the Soap of the Week:
The soap is made with a rich, dark Oatmeal Stout from local brewing company Free State out of Lawrence, Kansas. (Notice the whipped soap on top!) The fragrance reminds me of oatmeal cookies, but with the subtle smell of hops.
Entering the giveaway is easy – just leave a comment telling me why you love handmade soaps and how you got started using them. Or if you haven’t tried a handmade soap, why you might want to! I’ll have as many winners as it takes to have a 1 in 10 chance of winning, or I run out of Oatmeal Stout soap!
Comments will close Tuesday, July 19th at 10pm CST, and I will contact the winners the next day. (One entry per household, please. Open to readers from around the world!)
Comments are now closed. Winners will be announced tomorrow!

I am going to get in here to try to get you to 50. You know we love your soaps! The stress relief is a staple. Your newest one looks beautiful.
I prefer handmade soaps for several reasons. One main reason, however, is that I like supporting small business owners. Being an entrepeneur is what makes America strong and Walmart certainly doesn’t need any more of my money!
I love handmade soaps because I believe that you should treat the outside of your body like you do the inside – with good, wholesome things. Handmade soaps give the skin what it needs!
I love handmade soaps. These types of soaps are pure and natural and that is what I am all about. Oatmeal is the best for every skin type. If you are itching–wash with oatmeal, dry skin–wash/oatmeal, anxious–wash/oatmeal. You WILL feel so much better afterwards. I just plainly love handmade soaps because they last and last and smell so gooood!!!
I love GCSW!!! U have awesome products!!!
I love hand made soaps. I love the different scents and I love how they leave my skin and most important I love how they’re all natural no chemicals to worry about.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE handmade soap…you can definitely tell the difference! I especially love all natural soaps that leave your skin feeling amazing! I don’t remember when I first started using them but I always used liquid body soap and I hated bar soap! Now I will never go back to body wash! I would to try this!
Thanks for the giveaway!
Well, I found your soap thanks to Helene’s blog…..and every single item that I have tried, I have LOVED……I cant imagine using anything other than a handmade soap. And don’t get me started on your lotions and whipped shea butter, because I just can’t shut up about it!
I tried It because of you amy! I loved how it smelled and how it leaves your skin feeling. I would love to try your new stuff!!
I love hand made soap because of the natural ingredients and the fact that it doesn’t make my skin itch. I got rid of all other soaps a couple of years ago and never looked back! I have some Great Cakes Soapwork Soaps that are in the guest bath – they smell wonderful!
I got into handcrafted/handmade soap 2 years ago when a friend suggested I try my hand at making some M&P as Christmas presents for my “homemade Christmas”…I fell in love with it. I haven’t tried to make CP yet, but I love purchasing items from different soapers and appreciating all the love and creativity that went into making the bar. There is so much variety out there…why would anyone use the boring commercial stuff? I’ve never used beer soap, anxious to give it a try!
Looking for a fun summer project during my time off (I work in a school) I stumbled into the idea of soap making. A few videos later (and a quick trip to the hardware store) I made my first batch of CP soap. I would love to be able to tell you the results and how much I enjoy the first bar of homemade soap I have ever tried, but I am patiently waiting for it to cure. The suspense is tough, especially since I don’t really know if it will be worth the wait…if I did it well or not. Yes, I should have tried homemade soap before venturing into my own batch, but what fun would that be? I would love to win a bar from you to tide me over while I patiently wait a few more weeks. 😉 Thanks for the chance!!!
I love homemade soaps because I don’t have to worry about the way my skin will freak out.
I tried handmade soap many years ago when I bought it from a health food store. I wasn’t too impressed with the fragrance or the way it looked, but I LOVED the way my skin felt when I used it. When I started buying handmade soap from friends and colleagues, the first thing I noticed was how much better their soap looked and smelled than that stuff I bought before! (We’ve come a long way, baby!) And of course these handmade soaps still feel amazing! I can’t buy soap from the store anymore, so I’m lucky to know so many fantastic soapmakers!
Thanks so much for the chance to win a soap!!
I’ve dying to try your soap and winning a bar would be a perfect catalyst! Especially if I can get my hubby hooked.
Please pick me!
I love natural, handmade soaps because my skin loves it. I love the fact that everything natural and good for you goes into making handmade soap. I got started using them when I started making my own 10 years ago. I’ll never go back. Love handmade soaps!
