On the Curing Rack: Lavender Lemon
The first soap of the new year is Lavender Lemon! It’s been out of stock for several months, and I received several requests for it right before Christmas. For good reason – it’s a great soap! Lavender and lemon essential oils both have antibacterial properties, and the scent is very refreshing and “clean”. Pulverized corn cob and fine pumice powder make it very scrubby. Great for cleaning up after gardening! Some people just like an abrasive soap in the shower too.
Give it about three weeks to cure, and I’ll have it available at Greatcakessoapworks.com around the first of February.

Sounds good, I used to use ground Basamati Rice in a soap and people loved it. Amazing the rougher the better for some.
that lavender lemon looks scrumptious!
thanks for your comment. you gotta give the layering a go all at once…s’easier that it seems..just make sure your mix is thick thick thick…and stir the traced soap each time before you layer to keep it consistent. i’ll be back to check! x
