Success!
May I present my first six-color swirled soap:
It is absolute torture having to wait until tomorrow to cut this beauty!! I tried to hold myself back from putting glitter on top, but that was a losing battle. LOL! All that white powdery looking stuff in the photo is actually iridescent glitter – I guess there is such a thing as too much sun on the subject.
Hey, don’t forget to nominate your favorite handmade soap blogs for the “Best of” Awards – I’ve added the option of anonymous nominations if you prefer. I’m thinking about designing a little badge for the winners to display on their blogs, if they so choose. Deadline is Friday night!

cool.. I like this.
How long does it take to dry? how many lbs is this?
That’s a beauty! The one time I attempted a 6-color swirl was with a FO that discolored the soap. Fail! I must give it a go again soon.
@Jenny – I’m going to cut it tomorrow, then let it cure for about four weeks. I’ll end up with just nine bars – a little more than two and a half pounds.
@Ruth – You definitely need to try it again! I’m trusting my supplier when she says little to no discoloration. I added a tsp. of TD to the lye water just for good measure. 🙂
oooh Amy! isn’t it just the hardest thing waiting 24 hrs to cut?! LOL. Looks like it will be beautiful…enjoy slicing into it:D
OMG! This soap is the bomb! I’m so envious:D
And, I nominate this blog…I have learned soooo much from you, that I’m stealing all of your techniques..heehee:D
Wow! That is soooo pretty! 🙂
This is gorgeous for Easter! Did you pour the soap into a box or is it a real soap container? Can’t wait until you cut it. Can you imagine the beautiful colors!
I dub you “Lady Swirl-Meister”! I can’t even IMAGINE attempting a 6-color swirl! (Do I even DO six colors? LOL!) I have to say that I’m having an unexpected craving right now, and missing ol’ Toucan Sam…..hmmmm
Great Job, m’dear!
It’s beautiful!
Amy,
This soap is so pretty and I love the colours. Did you swirl the middle as well? I can’t wait to see the cut photos.
I’ve yet to try more than 3 colours at a time so am full of admiration for you here. Looking forward to the cut pics.
Oooh it looks so pretty, I love the colours you’ve used! it’s a beauty!!!
