Thinking About Fall Scents

I’m realizing that it’s time to start planning my fall and winter soaps already. It takes about five weeks to get the fragrances, make the soap, and get it cured, packaged and labeled. So I sat down tonight and placed an order for some of my favorite fragrances, including Apples & Spice and Pumpkin Pie. Apples & Spice has been a favorite standby for at least three years now, and I would be in big trouble if I ever quit making it. I’ve made the Pumpkin Pie soap the past two years. It is wonderful because it is a fresh goat’s milk soap made with vitamin-packed pumpkin puree, and of course it smells just like pumpkin pie.

I’m also thinking about making some other soaps including: Cherries & Chestnuts, Frankincense & Myrrh, and Fresh Cut Spruce. Maybe some more Figs N Cream soap too. I’ve had two requests for Peppermint soap which would make a nice winter fragrance. What are your favorite fall & winter scents? I’d love to know if I’m on the right track here.

  1. Yankee Candle made a fragrance several years ago called Holiday Sage. I absolutely love it, but haven’t been able to find it recently. It would make a wonderful, festive soap scent too.
