Toothless #2
Last night I was noticing that my younger daughter’s remaining front tooth was getting rather loose. I commented to her that I wouldn’t be surprised if she lost it in a few days. Well, this morning she took one bite of her oatmeal and the next thing I knew she was wiping some blood on her napkin. That tooth was just hanging there!! She got all upset, but wouldn’t let me touch it. Wouldn’t finish her breakfast, and made a big fuss. “Can I stay home with you?” Um no. You aren’t throwing up and you don’t have a fever. You are going to school. Wrote a note to the teacher explaining the situation, fulling expecting that tooth to be out by the time she got home from school. It was.
Her friend Faith had convinced her to go to the nurse who pushed back on it and it fell right out. Now, Daddy has convinced her to put it under her clown pillow at the foot of her bed. How convenient.
If you’re interested, I posted about my older daughter losing her front teeth about a year ago. The difference between them: the first born pulls her own teeth.

Autumn didn’t know what to expect the first time she had a loose tooth. She let us put dental floss around it and yank it out! She didn’t fall for it the second time?
