Valentines Soaps and Bubble Bath Now Available!

With Valentines Day just two weeks away, I am very happy to announce that the pirate-themed Valentine soaps are now available:

For the girls:

South Seas Siren

South Seas Siren is a combination of a Michael Kors type fragrance which is comprised of white florals, warmed with delicate top notes of bergamot, apricot, peach, and plum, finished with a touch of exotic spice, velvety woods, and sensual skin musks with a tropical plumeria fragrance. Just like a siren – it’s completely irresistible! With just 11 of these available, you’ll want to get your hands on these as fast as possible!

For the guys:

Brazen Buccaneer

Brazen Buccaneer is a woodsy blend of bamboo, teak, rainforest, sandalwood and cedarwood. The depth of this fragrance is amazing! Completely earthy, very masculine and sexy. Even the pattern of colors will remind you of wood grain. Only 10 available – check ’em out here!

After receiving a tip from Holly at Missouri River Soap that Target had heart-shaped silicone molds available in their dollar section (which really cost me $2.50!), I knew I had to make some bubble bath to match the South Seas Siren soap. Here’s a little video on how I made them (and the problems I encountered!):

South Seas Siren Bubble Bath Confections are available HERE. Only 6 available!

Hopefully these will help make your Valentines Day special!

  1. Hi Amy,

    Another winner!

Is there a book or website that you reference when you develope a recipe like this? I’ve seen tons of books on soap and bath bombs/fizzies but the ingredients you used were new to me. I’d love to read more (if possible :)).

  2. What is the purpose of the arrowroot? Body? I see that the baking soda and C of T cause the rising action. (i.e. baking powder). I really like the puffy look, but think the cookies are attractive from a marketing aspect.

  3. @Tina – I suppose it’s for bulk. Not sure. I did several experiments and these ingredients worked the best… Planning to make more “cookies” this afternoon!

  4. Arrowroot and Corn starch are binders/thickeners, so after I sent that comment, I thought perhaps that’s what they were for. What do you think about adding salt to it to make it a salt bath experience as well. I suppose that would lessen the suds. From a chemisty standpoint, what do you say? I’ve never had a salt bath before, so I don’t know what all the hype is. I want to try this using my base for my sugar scrub which is soap. Remember trying that once?

  5. @Tina – I don’t know. The little bit of dendritic salt I’ve added doesn’t seem to affect the suds. You would just have to try it and see! Oh, yes, how could I forget that sugar scrub??

  6. he he he. I forgot you tried my scrub. I remember you trying to make your own base. I think I’m going to have to take a bath to see what your little cookies do, so I know what mine are supposed to do. The kiddies are taking a bath right now in my jet tub with one cookie. It is all that is needed with the jets. They turn them on every once in awhile.

  7. Have you ever tried using cookie cutters to make your shapes? You can find some pretty thick ones, fill them up, take them out right away. I find it easier than to put mine in a mold and then try to get it out! ;0)
    Blessings,
    Lori
